About me

In Hawaii on a hike

I'm just a software engineer trying to create a small presence on the interwebs. As an engineer, I program in Java, javaScript, and CSS regularly. In college I preferred to work in C/C++. My first serious programming gig was with UpToDate inc. where after helping redesign their site to be "web 2.0" I worked on an internal project where I learned ASP.net, C#, SQLServer and some basic SharePoint. Now I'm a bit of a generalist, but I really like solving Java based server-side problems, like creating frameworks to protocols to communicate between web services where you get to use standard POJOs (with a couple annotations) so you're completely uaware of the fact you are actually using a web service. I currently love Spring, and AOP (Aspect Oriented Programming). I'm still moving out of the stage where AOP is my hammer and every problem is a nail.

If it would please you to see my resume, I have a link for you to click on.

I enjoy working on cars, both mechanics and electronics, and I also work on motorcycles but usually only when I'm stupid and dump my bike for whatever reason.
